Thanks for your reminder of the 350th aniversary of Durham&#039;s death.  I hope (DV) to give a lecture for the Inverness branch of the Scottish Reformation Society later in the year to commemorate this.

Yes, good biorgaphies can teach us alot about theology.  I was particularly blessed by Palmer&#039;s biogrphy of James H. Thornwell in this regard.

I&#039;m afraid I dont have the means to reprint it but I&#039;d be more that willing to help any publisher that did.

		<description>Those are some very interesting insights on the man James Durham, yet I think that there is a good bit of theology involved in these insights. Spurgeon says that the first gift a person interested in the ministry should look for is personal holiness. There was a good bit of that in James Durham as is evident from these anecdotes. Studying the life of a humble Christian man is good preparation for the ministry. Good Christian biographies can be great theological treatises.</description>
